I've just fitted the Apple3 to a v7 & given it the once over.
Verdict - I'm impressed, boots everything I throw at it (from the browser and reset) including the all time worst disc ever, Bulkpaq greens.
Peeps are getting used to lower wire counts now so the 22 here (+ colour fix) won't appeal to a lot but the price will. This is by far the cheapest chip compatible with ALL versions.
I have a v9 coming in tomorrow so I'll fit my other sample in that one & see if the reliability is maintained.
Bulkpaq!!!!EEEEESH!!!!
Bighap has always had good thangs to say about apple line of mods. It seems to be a pretty good chip.
Version 7 seems to be best model for most mods though. I loved my version 7 and m2 1.31. Now have version 9 with m2 1.33b and it not a patch on the version 7.
Regards
Yep, i currently have a Apple Pro in a v7. It boots everything you chunk into it lol.
Thanks for the news about the Apple 3 Hull_chipper, Be sure to let us know how it goes with the v9 :)

Well yeah ...:) them too! But now that the apple3 supports V1-V10 ps2's and all regions in one chip this makes me very happy.

Sorry for the delay folks but heres the 2nd part of my test.
Fitted my last Apple3 into a v9 this evening & the results were exactly as expected. 100% boot rate 100% of the time both from the browser and by tapping reset.
I will admit to having been baffled when I realised there is no point '6' on the v9 diagram (take a look at the v7 diagram www.apple-chip.com then again at the v9 & you'll see what I mean). Once you realise that's what the jumpers are for, everything becomes crystal clear.
With 21 wires (+ colour fix) & only 5 to the via's (I think we are all happy with the via's now so they're irrelevent) the Apple3 boots just as well as the Messiah2 with less wires & considerably less cost!
I'll stick with the Duo's for v3-8 but this is 'one chip fits all' & I think will become very popular over the next few months.
Ukmodchips will definately be stocking this chip ;) (Plug)
Nice work Hull_chipper :) .
And Apple Team as usual.:)
