I am a newbie and and just got my first DVD burner a week ago. I am using AnyDVD 3.3.2.1 and DVDClone 1.3.11.2. Burned 1st 2 backups of movies and they worked perfect, Thanks to you guys and info gleaned from this forum. Installed DVDXCopy Platinum because I wanted to try splitting a 3 hr movie to 2 discs. Have not actually used it. Last night I burned a sub 2 hr movie using DVDClone and when I played it got no movie soundtrack, just the Directors Narrative, video was perfect. Reburned it and this time I checked the Preserve Menus box so I could turn off the directors narrative and get no audio at all. I am only checking the 1st in the list of files. The one with 20+ chapters. Next screen I am checking English language, 2 channel, English subtitles. Sorry if this is long but ... So where am I messing this up. the first 2 came out so well. Gonna go get a DVD RW to practice with. TIA.

Went and got some blank RW's and after playing with settings and cranking out 2 more discs with no audio I went ahead and cloned the whole disc and I have a playable movie with sound. Thing is the quality slider is now about in the middle, yellow, but the video quality is still good. Is there an acceptable limit to how far down this arrow should be allowed to fall? Is there any way to preview the audio and video of the ripped file before actually burning it?
