Plz post here if anyone knows a no cd crack for this version (1.1) of Virtual Skipper 3.

I've just uploaded a mini-image to play EVERY version of virtual skipper 3, included the latest patch.
On gcw they put cdchecks as protection, but it's starforce 3!

uhm, halfluke...you wanna explain just how you got your mini-image to play VSK3?

Here's what I did:

Installed lastest Alcohol 120%. Rebooted and turned on all emulation options.
Using Starforce Nightmare, disabled my physical DVD drives.
Went into registry and set "read" to "deny" in Permissions/SYSTEM for the appropriate device in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\R oot\SYSTEM (in my case, device number for Alcohol was 0004)
Mounted the mini-image in Alcohol
Start VSK3 - Starforce installed - asks for reboot
Reboot done, check that DVD drives still disabled, Alcohol has mini-image loaded, all emulation options on and start VSK3 again.
Starforce asks for CD key, I give it mine, checks for disc, disc not found, mini-image doesn't work.

I confirm what ka_bong said: I usually use mini images to start (old) SF3 protected games, but I can't make to work the VS3 mini image you posted.

Sorry, you both are right, I forgot to add the serial you have to enter:

then mount the mdf, don't trim, but just extract the starforce key.

I've just sent the serial to gcw, but I don't know if they will update the file. I hope so
P.S: don't use serials found on p2p, they don't work

Hi halfluke,

I don't think GCW will put your serial into any no-CD patch or mini image. Actually, GCW has been doing the opposite: deleting serials from such packages. Yes, this will probably make the package useless; still, spreading serials is against the legality of the site...

So they should at least update the instructions to play adding what I wrote in my previous post:
download isodir
mount the .mdf file
extract the starforce key
install the game
insert the key
play!
