Got no reply from anyone - I think I put my question to you guys in the wrong forum topic. So I am posting the same again in DVD Backup Forum. Kindly help me out.

Hi Allz,

I burn my dvd movies in vcd format( in 2 blank cds for backups).
I got DVD Copy Pro ( which use SmartRipper, DIVx, VCDImager and CDRWIN ).

I can successfully make 2 vcds with 1 dvd movie. Now, many of my friends wants the VCDs to view as they don't have dvd players. And I don't want them to copy it in their PC or make CD copy of my vcds.

How can I protect my vcds so the contents can't be copied in any PC and it can't be copied to any black CD even( as almost all writting softwares can do a "copy cd").

In CDMediaWorld.com, there are so many cd protection tools to choose from. But I am really confuse about which one would be best and easy for me to use - to use it to make dvd-vcds and to protect the vcds.

I got LG DVD-ROM DRD8080B and LG CD-RW CED-8080B.

Kindly help me out.

making a copy of a movie for someone that does not own the movie is illegal and talking about it is breaking the rules

These are 6 DVD Info I got here for you guys out of my 61 Genuine DVDs purchased by me. Sorry It will take me a long time to type all the proof no. and ISBn no. from those 61 dvds. And apart from that I got 28 ps1 and 32 ps2 originals games.

I am not making backups from my originals for distribution/sales. I want to have those so I can preserve/protect the original movies.
And I want to make it in VCD format in-case something happen to the originals, I will still be able to watch the movies in vcd format.

And talking about illegal and breaking the rules - I want to stop my friends to copy my originals movies, that's why I asked about any protection for my vcd cds if there is any available for me to use with the vcds.

I hope this will answer your comment and to others who(thinking of me as an illegal guy)didn't reply to my email. I am just looking for help and I know I am not doing anything illegal.

The solution is easy. Dont lend them to your freinds. If you cant trust them then dont lend them the movies.

sorry, it sounded like you wanted to copy them and give them away. like tyler said if you can't trust your friends don't give them the cds
