have I been cheated??

I ordered a messiah 2 chipped on the satin silver ps2 from www.kanection.co.uk
I works fine but few games such as fifa2004 and 1 or 2 other games doesn;t load up when reseted
I have to go into browser and select the game to load up at normal speed
It's okay with the original......
do u think it;s a messiah 2??
Or is it hard to tell???
I don't really want to open it up you know...

was they cd based or dvd cause i had systems b4 that need to speed up to load cd based games some reason used units like to do this.

they were all dvd
original works fine but the backup doesn't

What brand of discs do you use
it can make a difference
i use Datasafe DVD-R and CD-R
and have not had any problems
ive used other brands and had problems

Hmmm. If it is a genuine m2 then u should be fine. When I first chipped my v9 with m2 had trouble gettin used to boot up sequence but u should just be able to tap eject to switch ps2 on an open tray and then hit reset to close the tray an watch boot. Then subsequent ejects and resets should keep on bootin regardless of whether it cd or dvd based.

It's working fine sometime but sometimes it doesn't
I boots 100% when I boot from the browser by selecting the ps2 game with X
but If I press eject button to put in the dvd as I turn on the machine it doesn't boot sometimes
It's really annoying sometimes when this happen you know...
I think I'll open it up but where is FAQ for this??
I'm sure there is some directions that somepeople have wrote

It wouldn’t be the chip that would cause this kind of problem. More like the laser.

i would send it back saying its faulty i got a friend who bought a magic 3.1 system from there and his works great he's had it for 2 years but i find that kanection are very expensive

I got it from there because U said it was good!!!!
I recommend BAD!!!

they are good otherwise i wouldnt rate them as good would i. should of asked here i woulda reccomended www.playstationservices.co.uk there alot better

Since it’s a V9/V10 it may not be the laser after all. Did you try burning the games in question with better/different media, different software yet?

Did u ever buy stuff from them???
It took them 5weeks!!!!
I was crazy with them calling angry phone calls
They were giving me excuses of back logs and stuff
I think you jus recomened them without buying any modchip or a pre-mod

I dunno why but it's working fine...
It was booting 4/4 times
I jus didn't wanna test anymore...
got bored....
So ended up playing the game....
I think it's okay but do u know where I can get the installation pictures??
I wanna open it up n I hear if ur not carefull u will rip some line for reading dvds and stuff or maybe eject button will not work....
I'm not really sure....

hmmm it will be ok do it slowly and u will be fine. go on google and type in how to open a ps2
