Hi again i have another point. how do you get a copy to your hard drive so you can remove the encryption of your original dvd film. im using nero 6.0 and it says copy protected. do i need another program to burn the dvd to the hard drive, then encrypt it so it will burn using nero?

Just get Anydvd from www.slysoft.com and it turns off the encryption straight from the drive.

Hi again,
ihave just tried to make a backup of my original dvd called jingle all the way. size about 3 gig and used a 4.7 dvd blank. i had the program running in the back ground called anydvd and it copied but when i tried to play it back it would not boot? do i need to do anything else to the backup before burning, if so what do i need?
Thanks again
peter

First make sure you have the latest Anydvd. Now, was the movie that size to begin with or did you have to cut it down to get it that small?
If it was that size, it can just be copied 1:1. Ive done a few movies like that and had no probs.
Finally maybe that disc was just bad. Does it even work in your PC?

Thanks tyler,
i think i have the latest anydvd, the film was not cut down
asnd whpend the 2 dir were there but would not work in a dvd or pc.i went to the site and it says you should be logged on as a administrator for it to work, all i did was download it and install do sign of anything about administrator? it says something about having the right region set too. i assumed it already was set as all my films have been bought in the uk.so did i miss something?
thanks
