burn ps2 games without a dvd burner

yo!

i don't have a dvd recorder only a good h&w burner for and a dvd drive - i used to backup my ps1 games with cdrwin to make bin&cue and fireburner to burn them it works very well thx to the guys in this forum ;)

so i try to burn them with clone cd like i read it in the ultimate info sticky *duh* but it doesn't work... i read some post where the guys speak about ps2 dvd roms and ps2 cd roms can't i copy a ps2 dvd to a cdr? i know a guy who has backuped all his games on standard cdr we used to play fifa04 and i saw that he uses normal cdr platinum 700 mb but now he lives in a other town so i don't have any contact to him

i'd really need to backups my games cuz of my little son which destroyed tons of ps1 games and the ps2 are to expensive so i want to backup them and there's no prob with him anymore ;)

The best option- get a dvd recorder. they are realy dropping in prices!.
Option 2 ( i dont recomend)- you can find dvd rip kits. if you do a seach for it on these forums you can find some sites. by using a rip kit it "rips" (takes out) files such as music and movie files. i also believe this has more strain on your laser.

PS: you do have a modchip correct??

buy a dvd burner now. do not waste ur time and our time with stupid rips onto a cdr. its pointless. DVD lets u get the full game with music movies etc. and it will go much smoother when ur playing.

and BTW, teach ur kid to handle discs correctly. if he doesn't, take his ps1/ps2 away from him. teach him a lesson. he obviously has no respect for games coz he has too many and knows u will get more for him.

Wow! patch god..... No sympathy for the youth. I do understand this guys dilemma with kids getting into the games and scratching the heck out of them. I have talked, yelled, and grounded, everything you can think of to make them understand. But patch god you must not have kids because some times nothing works. This is why he wants to have back-ups......but I do agree with you patch god, just get a DVD burner your life will be much easier.

lol i never have seen a lil kid over hear scratch a cd prob caus they have respect. i know the feeling of your game get ruined your buggad and the only way to get past that is to make backups. now he dont have a dvd burner and is using cdrs to record his games which is a bad idea because it damages the lens after a while. when you hear a loud scratching noise it your laser!
