i have a version 3 ps2 and want to put a messiah 2 v1.33b has anyone heard of problems with this chip on a version 3. also just put in a new laser

You should have no problems with the 1.33b although a Apple Pro, Duo or Magic V will work just as well for about half the price.

Plus, then you won't be losing as much if the laser died on you...
