Hey guys, I've been backing up my games with swap magic and it woa working all right but then I tried my Splinter cell and Silent Hill 3 and they won't work. I was thinking of getting a modchip and was going to try to install it myself. Is this very hard? What kind of soldering iron do I need and how big of tip would I need to use? Also are there very many games that won't work with swap magic. What kind of madchip should I get? Is the magic 3.1 modchip very good?:(
They use the double TOC check protection method and will need to be patched using a patch from this site...

This should solve your problem, but getting a REAL chip is far better and it is REAL hard - get it done professionally, don't do it yourself, and no, the magic 3.1 is crap.
well if ur not good at soldering dont temp it its very hard to do u can screw ur ps2 up in a heart beat if u dont know what ur doing if u need to play these games goto www.swapmagicfix.com and get the cd loader it will boot them and if u want a solder chip look at the installers some of them have good prices like loy he dose it for 30$ u buy the chip and about the mod chip get a DUO its great for the older versions 7 and down
