I have gotten hold of some of these DVD-R media, was wondering if they are ok?
The dye on them is a dark purple..
I have got a couple for free and just wondered if they are any good for Ps2 backups or DVD movie Backups?
Any info would be great..
:D

If I rememeber correctly I think they use basically the same dye as Riteks. So they should be just as good.
Tyler!
They are the exact same dye. You should have no problems with them.

Ok, is there anyone that knows which manufactors that using Ritek base?
Ritek, Ridata, Traxdata I know about.
I'm just trying to get a grip on what dye the different manufactors are using so I have some to choose between...

One more question left.
Is it best to get "clean" Riteks (no overprint) or does it matter at all if there is a overprint or not?

Do these look legit?
Datasafe 4x DVD-R (Ritek G04 Dye) In 25 Cakebox
This is a "Datasafe Media" 'A' grade 4x DVD-R and is manufactured for Datasafe Media by Ritek using the excellent Ritek G04 Dye. A white surface carries the "Datasafe Media " logo.

Not a bad price really.
If they use G04 dye then you will be fine.

Looks like everything is arriving tomorrow.
If i wanted to make a backup of one of my DVD movies, would i still have the dvd menu? With the extras and scene selections stuff?
I have seen rips with just the movie that plays with the DVD-r is inserted. But with a proper copy will i get an exact copy of original DVD?
Depends on the prog. Some will let you remove the menu if you like.
