messiah vs dms3

how come at first when messiah and dms3 came out all i heard in the forum was get the messiah now everyone is saying get the dms3 please clarify for me because i just got the messiah but what i want is a top of the line chip

DMS3 has extra features that the Messiah 2 doesn't have. If you think you need the extra features(most don't) then get one. If you just want to play games then go for the Messiah.

i got a dms3 and i love it its in a v9 ez to play ps1 games ps2 games and movies u just use the controler instaed of hold rest for ceterent amount of secs i never could figer out ps1 games on my other mods

Macrovision off, dvd region free, flash upgradable, and the ability to boot progs off your memory card.

cool. so say sony uses a new protection thing on their games that defeats the messiah and dms3, the messiah will be screwed but the dms3 can be flash upgraded and will then defeat the new protection? is that right. thats what the flash upgrade would allow it to do if that ever hapened eh?

Flashing won't do that much. It is basically just used to fix bugs that may not be discovered until after it is released.

Which chip type is available in UK and where?

I would rather buy the ps2 machine complete with chip
