Here's my problem....
I recently upgraded my Motherboard and processor in my computer and since then software that I had already installed on my harddrive isn't recognizing my drives. I have a Yamaha CD-RW burner, a dvd-rom drive, a pioneer 104 DVD-RW burner and an External Pacific Digital DVD+/- RW burner. I use a lot of burning programs for different reasons. The programs that still work fine are, Nero ver6 Ultra, Stomp Record now Max, CDRwin, and clone cd. The programs that are giving me problems are Disc Juggler, Alcohol %120, DVD X Copy, DVD X copy Express, and MP3 Audio Extractor. I'm wondering what my problem could be. Thanks for the suggestions.
Get rid of most of your software. Uninstall it all and keep the following.:
1. Stomp RecordNow MAX
2. Alcohol 120%
3. ONE version of DVDXCopy (or even try DVD2ONE).
Now try and get hold of either an ASPI layer or Patin Couffin (comes with BlindWrite Suite, I use it, throughly recommended CD/DVD Controller).
Try that and see what happens...

Thanks for the reply. However I am not going to uninstall any of my software because all of these programs worked in harmony with each other and my burners. I use them all for different things, so I'm not willing to uninstall any of them because I know that they are compatible.
I thought that it my be an aspi problem but I don't know how to fix it. When you say, get a hold of an aspi layer, I actually have (I think), and I also have Blindwrite suite so does that mean I have the Patin Couffin thing you speak of. Is there a way to check. Thanks for the reply though. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreiciated. Thanks!

No suggestions????
You can get ASPI Driver from here,
http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/suppdetail.html?sess=no&language=English+US&prodkey=ASPI-4.70
Also if you run "aspichk.exe" from the package, it'll show you that you have ASPI layer or not.

I don't mean to be difficult, but already did that. It says I do have a ASPI layer installed and working properly. However half of my software can't find a single drive. Is there a way to uninstall the ASPI layer and the "patin couffin" thing and reinstall?
Thanks.
To unistall ASPI, get ASPI Killer from here (http://forum.gravure-news.com/viewtopic.php?t=138) .
to unistall patin couffin in blindwrite4 go to control panel->CD access configuration and for blindwrite5 go to start->all programs->vso->drivers->remove

Still having problems....I remember installing roxio a while ago and I think it messed with the registry or something. (Don't know why I installed it in the first place, That program should burn in hell!) Maybe this is my problem....getting rather frustrated now. Thanks for all of the suggestions though

Ive seen this happen before. Try unstalling the software then reinstalling it. Ditch the roxio, its crap and BTW, if cdrwin is working correctly there's nothing wrong with the ASPI.

I would keep cdrwin and cloneCD and ditch alcohol120%. There is a bug when writing .cue and .bin files on alcohol (the same as with nero) that cdrwin doesn't seem to have and cloneCD is just a totally bulletproof cd backing up tool.

Also dvd x copy needs to be shown where yr burner is. There should be an option on the startup menu that lets you pick the burner you use. If your burner doesn't come up on the list this usually indicates that you didn't reboot your system as soon as you installed it and reinstalling it should solve the problem.
