The question before a mod

Ok guys. and gals? I have very patiently waited reading thread after thread only to get more uncertain. So here I shall post the question once more that has been posted a million times. But this will decide for me what to do. I have a v9 and want to mod it.

Please help me.......Which chip do All of you rcommend?

Also, I see freedomlives.com highy hyped here and would like to use them. When I go to this site I am jumped to newagepsx.com. Is this the same company? I ask because on the site he says he does not provide the chip. So, where should I buy it before sending itr to him?

DMS3 is the best chip(extra features) but it costs more. You will need a v9 dms3 chip for ur v9 console. check out www.modchipman.com for getting it installed he is a very good dealer with awesome fast service and delievery. i ordered my pre-mod from there and it is perfect! If you dont want the extra features of the dms3 then you could get a duo.(almost same as messhia but cheaper).

Magic V 50K. Get it at www.the-console-corner.com for $19.99. Works excellent on NTSC v9.

make sure they offer warrentys on there installs in case the v9 dies due to eeprom mine was a v9 with magic V and it died :( good thing my installers doing aronther for me this time with a dms3 but it only costed me 20$ for the chip from him :D i guess whole sale cost

Seeing as he is in New York he should have a ntsc console so he really dont have to worry about the v9 problem.
@EVO, The person thats doing the DMS3 install, is he the same one who supposedly installed that smart chip pro which turned out to be a magic V??

yeah good thing about a dms3 though u can tell its a dms3 cause it has opitions like 0 plays ps1 games x plays ps2 tringal plays dvds and square loads from mem card and i seen another guy on this fourm that had magic V installed and his unit died so it maybe that chip go with the smart chip u will prob have better luck there and Netmech was my installer

A: To play your backup games, you will need a Game Shark 2 (unless you have an N 4.1, Phoenix/Messiah for V4, Ultra2, Magic 3.1 or Messiah2 Pro).

I found this question at precisionmods.com. I have deceided to go with the DMS3 and then I read this darn answer. Is this true?

Ok, UI want the dang Magic V chip now for my v9. When I go to the console corner his add to cart buttons don't work. When I go to all other sites I see mentioned no one seems to carry the Magic V unless I am missing something. Does norcalmods have it. When I click his poductys link, I get one chip, I think it was the Apple. Somebody, anybody please help me find the Magic V 50k priced reasonably. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I must be blind. I don't get why these sites carry only certain mods. At modchips.cc he's got the Magic V k6 but not the Magic V 50K. Why would that be. I am sorry for being a PITB.

well www.consolesource.com has the magic V 50k. this site is very awesome as i have ordered a few chips from then, BUT they dont have the cheapest prices on the net!
