I just apparently bought a magic v 5k6, and then found out that my ps2 is a version 9. Upon searching the net, I found this http://www.chipzone.com/installation/playstation2/magicV/V9/page2.cfm
Is this intallation pics legit? Cause I tried and it doesn't seem to work? Anyone has any idea?

Depends on the console, SCPH 50006 and 50007 and V10 (5000x, date code "3D") boards will use the Magic V 5K6 chip. SCPH 50001 to 50004 use the 50K chip.
The diagram is legit.
