CM 03/04 NO CD (v4.1.4) Wont work - Help!?

I need your help!

I've downloaded the CM03/04 NOCD for v4.1.4 but it keeps coming up with "cm0304.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

It then proceeds to ask if I want to send details of this to Microsoft.

Although I am new to this forum I have been using NO CD files for years with no prior problems so I doubt I'm doing anything monumentally stupid. I did install the official update to 4.1.4 before proceeding, and I had the NO CD for v4.1.2 and it worked fine. I have also tried deleting Champ Man and reinstalling it, then reapplying the patch, then the NO CD, but it still doesn't work. Disabling my virus checker doesn't help, nor do numerous reboots. I've even tried swearing at the PC, but still nothing! :D

I am running Windows XP Professional, with an AMD 1700 XP processor and 512 MB DDR.

Can anyone help? I'm desperate.

Theres a new crack out. It just missed the latest update to GCW. Maybe that will cure your problems.

bounty, you mean a new one that fixes the clock ? second version of 4.14 ?

Yeah, the one that fixes the clock. Sorry I dont have a direct link to it. I'm sure it will be up soon. Not exactly a big bug

Mind you, I was only using the original version of the 4.1.4 patch (with the dodgy clock), so I shouldn't need the new crack, surely?

I had similar problems with the crack for 4.1.3, that would never work either, I got the same error message popping up. But 4.1.2 (and all my other games) was fine :confused:
