i bought a broken ps2 30001 R off ebay it powers up tray opens and all but no video so i belive it might be a fuse i took it all apart and found the fuses but i dont know which fuse is which so i was going to rip off the video fuses and just run solder to connect the points and see it fixes it :)

I’m not sure what fuse would control that but you could just test all of them on the board with your continuity checker (If your multi-meter has one that is) If you find one that is blown I too would suggest to not just bridge the gap with solder as it blow for some reason and the problem may still be there resulting in even more damage with out the fuse. After you have replaced the damaged fuse with a new one and turned on the PS2 if you still have trouble open up the PS2 again and test the fuse again, if its blown once again you know you have a bigger problem on your hands. Then also you could tell all of use which fuse controls this :)

o i messed it up even more now i was trying to gap a fuse and droped a huge bloutch of solder on a ribbion calbe plug and i couldnt get it back off it speaded all over it and a lil peice came off when trying to remover that solder :( i was just trying to see it i could fix it i may just stick to disk read error systems they seem alot easier to fix i heard uping the laser beam will fix them and i found the controls to do it with :) and when u use that fuse tester u dont need power going to the board do u?

I think he needs you to write your posts without any punctuation for him to understand it.

yeah first thing i would need b4 any thing is a good soldering iron with a small tip the and tester to find out which fuse went bad and i belive it was the ribbion cable that went to the eject reset cable the lager one of the two
