OK, some time ago I placed a post regarding the fact that my PS2 was a version ...... wait for it .....4 !!!!
I was advised by the masses to dump it and go out and buy myself a lovely version 7.
Well the time has come, money in hand I'm about to go out and get one.
But wait .......... whats this new silver beast I see on the shelves.
Mmmmm that would look lovely sat under my SILVER 32" widescreen next to my SILVER DVD player which is placed below my SILVER SKY box. You getting my drift !?
The problem is, just how good are they, are they just a marketing ploy as some of you guys seem to think or is there no real difference. What model numbers should I be looking for with a silver model or should I just stick to the good old black beauty ???

I got a silver version 9 an have found it no different to my version 7 b4 it. Runs up everything fine, the new remote that goes with it finally has a 'standby' button on it. Top console all round. Recommend M2 fitted, works perfect.

Thanks for info. I take it M2 = Messiah 2 ?
If so do you know roughly how much I should expect to pay for one and any good modders near Leeds?
