View Full Version : cant install full game!?

I got a strange problem with the game tony hawk 4 on pc..
I have a backup of the game and I would like to use no_cd patch..
And to do that I have to do the following:

Install the game - Full Installation.
Copy the following files from CD#2 to the Game Directory:
DataXXX.tgr
Replace the original <GameDir>\START.EXE executable with the one from the File Archive.
Replace the original <GameDir>\GAME\SKATE4.EXE executable with the one from the File Archive.
Play the Game!

I have done this before..installed the full game,replaced files..etc..and the game worked fine!
I uninnstalled the game after a while,but now I will play it again..
BUT..now I cant get it to innstall full installation...WHY!?
I tried over and over again..
installation from cd and fron image file using deamon tools..nothing work!
Only typical install works..!

Does someone know why?

so the installshield setup program does not offer a full installation?

I think you cant do an Full Install, that was why you copied some Files from CD 2 on to Harddisk....Or am i wrong?:eek: :confused: :)

No I could do the full innstallation before I replaced the files!
It seem like the innstall wizard skip the option where you can choose type of installation..

Did you delete the copied files manually? All Folders?

hmmm maybe I did..but I have did an unninstall of the game after..

The Unstiall option doesnt delete all Folders an manually copied files.....Perhaps thats a reason, but should not be.....Maybe the registry etries are the reaseon...dont know what could be...you tested to install, copie the files and play????????
