http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Mods/xbox_controller_to_pc_usb.htm

I did this a while ago. I tried a couple drivers and the site is right, use xbcd drivers. No rumble is supported in any of the drivers, but the controller works flawlessly. Played halo PC with it and was great (halo actually supports the axis in gamepads:) )

Female is the plug with the hole, refering to it as the vagina, you plug the male connecter (the one the sticks out like a penis) into it. :)

Seriously though, the male connecter looks like the end of a usb mouse or keyboard (or any other usb device). The female connecter is the usb plug that you'd find on the pc mobo. You will most likely never find a usb male plug not part of a device or extension cable, and pretty much never find a female plug that isn't an addon to a pc mobo, or are the 4 slots of a usb hub

I went to my local microcenter and got a usb hub that plugs into the back of my PC. Costed like 7 dollars (there were 4 plugs). Although, I have to do alot of cutting because it was coverend in a rubber, i mean rubber.

Sadly though, not many allow analog, which can make it quite hard.

well most of the newer ones seem to suport it like vice city and LoK defianec and project 64 has analog also:D
