hey,

im going to get a soldering iron tommrow i went looking today all i could find was 25 50 watt soldering irons im gonna look around.

what nib would work the best i dont know what iron make it is will antex nibs fit on any soldering irons or do i need a special one? i so what size and which one?

The BIGGEST I would use would be a 0.4mm tip. - Anything larger would be a near impossibility to solder to the PS2 board with!

God knows mate? I aren't a soldering expert. The only thing I soldered was a buzzer circuit in a security box once before, Lol! :D

maplins is a good place for antex irons and tips . i use a 15w antex iron with a tip of 0.12 mm but i had to get this from antex them self http://www.antex.co.uk/. i also use a Soldering Station 50W / 230V, Temperature controlled, Analogue antex as well
