Hi,

A friend told me that now we can install Linux on PS2 and also that is possible to install a software that will make it read PS2 backup without a modchip??

is it true?
if so could you give me a tutorial link to know how to do that..

Sort of, and no - in that order.

Sort of because yes there is a Linux kit but you can't buy it in the USA yet.

And no because there is no way (yet) to boot PS2 games without either a mod chip or a knife.
