View Full Version : Chameleon Mod, Is it worth it ?
Im thinking about getting a chameleon mod, is that a good idea ? I mean, from what I hear, no xbox mod is really better than the other when it comes down to the basics. I just wanna back up my games and play them, will this be a good mod for this ? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Yah, this chip should be fine. If it were up to me i'd choose an x-ecuter 2.2/2.3 lite. The chameleon mod is a no-solder i think, but if you can solder you may want to reconsider.
Maybe someone here with an xodus/ozxodus/chameleon chip will give you their 2 cents.
Actually, you can get the Chameleon without the solderless adapter. I think that you have to solder a total of 3 wires without the adapter and it comes with a couple of screws to secure it in place. Im only going with the chameleon because its cheap, and modchipman.com is out of x2.3's and I dont wanna spend too much money. And I just bought my Xbox, so its most likely a 1.5.
Okay if you do decide to go with the Chameleon make sure its a 1.8.
IMO I'd buy an X2.3B. I order all my chips from The Console Corner (http://www.the-console-corner.com/index.htm) and never had a problem with them. The X2.3B only has 7 wires to solder. Plus I like the fact that it can be solded in with wires.
It doesnt say the version, it just says that it works on 1.5. Im looking to get it from easybuy2000.com. Without the adapter its $29 and Im not sure if you can solder it or not. so I might just go with the X2.3 Pro or Lite
I wouldn't buy any thing off EB2k.
They got their head so far up their asses its not funny.
