P.S egosoft made there new update only acessible to official cd owners of the game. but im sure the ppl in gamecopyworld can find a way to crack it . cheers

Corrupted. Your file is only about 2 Megs but it should be over 5 Mb.

I don't know anything about cracking, but I could supply someone with a copy of the 1.1 exe to be cracked, if that one is bad. I have another question though.

Has anyone gotten this game to work with a mounted disc image? I tried to do this right away because I like to crack or use images because I play alot of games and hate disc swapping. I did buy the game, and that is why I have the 1.1 patch already. I made a cloneCD, and I also tried using Alcohol 120% to make an image. Neither work for the game. The images seem fine, I can see all the data on the mounted disc, when I mount it it autoplays. But when I run the game it just spins the hard drives for a second and then gives up. Is it the new securom?

Anyhow, I could also supply the .exe as I said. But I'm very unfamiliar with how to host files on the internet. If someone who can crack it wants to message me here, or PM me, with details on how I can send it to them, I'll be glad to do it asap. I can winRAR it with maximum compression to get the size down.

EDIT: I created a rar archive with the original 1.1 exe, max compression, and it's about 2.5mb. I can provide it if someone tells me how.

Can anyone help us out? As I said, I have the .exe rar'd up and ready to send off to someone who can crack it. I looked into some of the securom utilites and had no luck (one doesn't even run on WinXP, the others (patches) gave some internal error when I ran them).

Starforce... is that bad? I hadn't heard of this protection before now. It's too bad this patch happened to come out at the same time as the new 5.00.03, I assume it's going to take a while to figure out and crack. :(

Well the reason you found starforce 3.3 is because the AUS version of X2 does use starforce, The US version on the other hand is SecuROM.

The US version of the patch can easily be obtained from a few bittorrent sites(won't name them due to warez content)


EDIT: Fixed something that could have been taken out of context.

Deviance rips securom protected cds for 5 minutes after theu got it, is it really hard to patch this patch ?!

Yea its not already patched, And according to NFOrce deviance only cracked 1 thing today =/, Its been about 8 hours since the patch showed up on BT sites and still no crack =/.

I was looking around hoping to find a BWA file or something so i could dink around with burning it(I can't get a proper BWA file off my CD's).

As of (GMT -5) 10 am No no cd crack exists on Overnet/eDonkey, Kazaa, mIrc, iMesh, or any bit torrent that I can find. And while you *can* use the old ver 1.0 no cd crack, little or no fixes are made.

Tried doing it myself but only suceeded in getting a lovely black screen.

oh gosh, dont be so harsh - if you want the thing cracked you'll have to wait or do it yourself. Dont forget that you didnt buy the game - and if you did so, you can wait some more days without any problems.
I'm on it, but i wont let my work or rl down just because you guys cant wait.
