the game itself is over 5GB - is there anything on the disk I can get rid of to get it to fit onto a dvd?? there is a xdemos folder on it, which is about 1.24GB - will it still work if I just delete this??

yea it should be fine without the demos

yep like axe said the game will work fine without the demos. i have tried this and it does work.

Delete the demos' in the folder Don't delete the Actual Folder
