Problems with HDD explorer and HDD.

I just got a network adapter and i got a 15 gig HD, quantum fireball for testing. I hooked it up, ran HDD explorer, it said it formatted the drive and installed successfully, but when i reset the ps2 and turn it back on all i get is a black screen, the HDD will spin up the stop. Does anyone else have this problem, if so how do i fix it and whats causing it?

Dont think its the HDD, ive read about 10 gigs working in the ps2.

Do you have a mod installed? I believe only the DMS3 supports the HDD.

Yea i guess it would help if i mentioned i have a dms3 v2.0. Sorry bout that. Got any ideas? Still not working

Try updating your firmware if it isn't up to date.

Forgot to mention that also, upgraded to 1.8:D
