If your running on win 98 se... Don't bother...

I chucked about 5 dvd-r's before I switched back to XP Home... I hated it before... ( CONTROL FREAKS) But you can't get around the 4 GIG file limit.... After I switched back... and used DVD Decrypter it copied fine... I'll check the forum again to see how it went... Your PSX2 is chipped right?

Actually RNM splits the their isos (.gi's) into 2gig files. So there is really no need to upgrade to newer versions of windows to burn larger files.

I wasted MANY DVD-R's trying to back it up... Until I switched over... HAVE YOU BACKED IT UP on Win98SE ?

I have not backed it up via windows 98SE. But I know what RNM does and your description doesnt support what you are saying.

See, I told ya. Even though Primo is outdated they were the ones who came up with the .gi splitting solution.

Works here:

Windows XP Professional Edition SP1
RecordNow MAX
Datasafe DVD-R (Ritek Dye)
NTFS File System (RNM still splits file though).
PS2 w/Messiah 1

P.S. GREAT game! :D

See I am having simular problems backup my dvd games. It will copy and everything but when I go to load it, the game will either freez at the game logos or when it is loading the game to play. Could it be that I have Windows XP Pro? I can backup my dvd movies, and my psx games, and even my ps2 purple disks. But when it goes to my dvdr silver disks it freezes.

I am using:
Backpack External USB 2.0 DVD +- RW
Verbatim, and Memorex DVD-R's
PS2 V4

Here is a link to the burner I have:

Might be the horribly unreliable swap method you are using. I know it sucks. Nothing better than sliding that disc in and just booting from there.

God I love it. Oh how I love it.

what is a cd loader check, the game will boot ot the game screen, then it freezes, so the game does go past the checking.

I went out and got the new plextor dvd burner. I bought TrueCrime also at Bestbuy, and burned it to a Verbatim DVD-R and used the Magic Swap Disk to boot the game. I am pleased to say that it booted without any problem, and I was able to play the game.

So I would like to say to people that I had an USB 2.0 Microsolutions DVD+-RW drive, DON'T BUY IT. I know it is not much but I have had nothing but problems with the drive. Get the plextor Plextor DVD+-RW PX-708A it is $250.00 but worth every penny.

If you are looking to copy your existing game that is 4.0GBs and more, try dvd decripter. I was able to make an image and store it onto the computer without any problems at all.

Good Luck to everyone but remember only copy the game IF YOU OWN IT. Don't post anything about Downloading, Renting, or any other stupid stuff about games. Only about your own games.
