View Full Version : Reading Speed for Making an Image
Hi,
This is my first time backing up my PS2 game. Right now, I'm trying to make an image file on my HD. From all the info I've gathered from this site, it is recommended that the read speed for making an image is 1X. However, I can't find where to adjust the read speed on both Alcohol 120 and Sonic RecordNow!DLX version 6. Does anyone have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
i read all mine at max never had no probs with the games and also on record now max just put it on min it works fine that away cause thats as slow as it gose but i alsways u max and works fine :)

Dont worry about the speed, it shouldnt affect your image at least not on a dvd.
Tyler!
same here , when reading i use max , it's when i comes down to write the disc u must be carefull
Thanks for all the responses. I just make an image on my HD. However, when I tried to burn the image with RecordNow, this message will pop up "For appended DVDs, the target media should match the source media type. Do you want to continue anyway?" Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
Thanks
Sounds like you are trying to use a cd-r for a dvd game or vice versa. Dark blue bottom discs are cd roms, hence a cd-r should be used. Use a dvd for all others.
I'm positive I'm using a DVD-R disc. I've been using them to back up my DVD movies. They are Ritek G03s.
The original game is a dvd-rom right?
Yes, the original is DVD-rom. It's got a shiny silver bottom.
Well if it is a dvd game and you are using a dvd-r just say yes to continuing.
