View Full Version : Problems with Tony Hawk
I tried to make a backup of Tony Hawks Underground.
I have a Neo 2.2 (with AR) and used RecordNowMax and Nero.
When I tried to boot the game it starts loading and the screen turns black. Then it stops loading and nothing happens. I made several backups of other games and never had this problem.
Can anybody tell me what to do?
Thanx,
Nicki

Are you using a large enough TOC boot dvd?

dude get rid of the neo 2.2 man ur gonna kill ur laser
I used GTA III which has 4,7GB.
I'm gonna get rid of the Neo soon, but I have to check out which Modchip is better.
Has anybody got a hint for me?
messiah 2 pro in my opinion
Can I use this with my PS2? I got V1. Does every modchip work with this version?
ouch a v1 thats very old u would be better off getting rid of ur ps2 with that neo cause it will prob die on u soon and it cost u some money to get a solder chip an install so its better to get a solder in a newer system to last u along time its awonder ur system plays dvdrs

Yeah its best to sell your v1 ps2 on Ebay (youll get pretty much all your money back). Then buy a new ps2 and install a chip in that.
Tyler!
just outta interest, has anyone had problems using a backup of this game in conjunction with a No-Solder Mod ?
i'm reburning again tonight on different media (-R this time) but i have a couple of shiny +R backups which are proving useless,
tried them on four diff ps2's as well...? never mind, probs just a dodgy batch of media :D
Well your advice to buy a new Ps2 came too late for me.
Today I have bought a new modchip and I have already put it into my PS2.
And you won't believe it but it really works! (Who said that women don't have technical understanding???;) )
I can also boot Tony Hawk now.
I hope that my PS2 has a long life left!
And when the day has come that my good, old PS2 V1 has died:(, then I can still buy a new one.
Wish me luck that this day doesn't come soon;)
Thanks for your help!!!
You are great!
Hugs and kisses,

Well I never said "women don't have technical understanding". But I must inform you that a v1 laser isnt the best and probably will not last too much longer.
I do hope yours proves me wrong at least on this count.

well done
was that your first time soldering?
im gonna solder in a stelth chip for my ps1 just for a lil bit of practice then maybe i get a f-14 mod or a duo chip
It was not my first time soldering. I am an electrician, so I have to do this almost every day ;)
But don't worry, it is not too difficult.
Good luck!!!
@Tyler:
Yes, I heard of that. But I nerver give up easily;)
Maybe the laser "lives" long enough and it will not break until the new PS3 has come out...
Well, wish me luck!
