Hi,
Does anyone know if this chip is any good?
It says that it has directboot, even for EA games.

Seems to be a quite good chip...and cheap..
Yes it is a good chip. The Sony screen is removed which is why you get faster booting.
now i dont know if i should go with magic V or smart chip i would rather do smart chip cause i know a guy eather on newz or ownz that will do the install and also has the chips so it wont have to buy from some one and then send it to a modder i can do it all one payment :)

Go with the smart chip m8, i got loads if you want one.
V9 ones.
Use them in all of my installs, gives you quicker loading which is handy

heres were i was thinking of getting it done some dude on ps2ownz he has over 100 feedback on there and he dose installs for 45$ and also carrys smart chips for the v9 units :) and hes from IL also which is next door to me :)

I will go for the Smart Chip...
it's so cheap and my soldering experience is enough to solder it..
just gonna fix the right equipment...
And get good installpictures..
