Could someone explain to me about dvdXcopy and alcohol

I have Nero and never used any other burning programs and have never attempted backing up one of my dvds. Now if I bought one of these programs am I correct in that they allow you to back up your dvd ? Sorry about all the questions just got my dvd burner and am learning lots !!!!

Don't bother with either one for backing up your DVD movies. I personally use Dvd-Decrypter, Dvd2one V 1.30 and then Nero or Copy2Dvd to burn the ripped files. Never had a single problem as of yet. Quality is excellent and it only take 15 to 20 minutes depending on the spec of PC to compress a DVD9 to 4.36Gb. Or you could just burn the movie only and leave out the extras.


By the way isn't this a bit of topic. DVD backup forum maybe?:p

DVD X Copy and DVD X Copy Platinum is all I use, and I have had zero problems. I highly recommend them both.
