Ok, I DO own an original copy of Super Smash Brothers Melee. I really liked the intro and wanted to encode it into a xvid file I can watch on my pc. I downloaded the iso (which should be legal since I own the original) and attempted to read this file in Isobuster, but nothing came up. Is there any way to view the files in a gc iso? I dont care about running the game, I just want to extract the movies.

My problem is I cannot SEE any files on the cd image, all the image extraction tools just list it as Track1, any ideas? finding the movie files shoudlent be a problem if I can just see the files on the cd image.

You guys are gonna have to hold off the talk on this until we are able to back up our own GC Games.

there is a tool that allows you to extract files from gcm images (GC Image Splitter v0.4)
You can get it from here:

I hope i'm allowed to post this link

Ok, I tried it and found out that so far all GC games seem to store movies in the SFD format, the SAME FORMAT DREAMCAST USES.
So I attempted extracting them and using the DC encoding tools on them, mixed results.
Some games movies encoded PERFECTLY, some games had a lot of colored boxes and artifacts over the movies.
Sigh, oh well, at least it works for some games. I wonder why the others encode so weirdly though, you can still sorta make out the actual video behind the gardadge if you look closely, but I wonder why the gardbage is there in the first place.
