I need help with GTA3 no cd

My GTA3 play disc is scratched and won't work so i got a no cd file and it worked great! next i tried copying the audio folder from the cd to the game directory to get sound and then it worked. but now for some reason the game wants me to insert the play disc! I figured that its because of this file called "sfx" and its about 80megs. If I delete it then the game works fine but with no sound and if i leave it in the audio folder the game doesin't work!
Can anyone help me?!?!?!?

Ok after researching previous posts I know my main problem is that sfx file has anyone figured this out yet? Ive tried reinstalling and the game does not work with that stupid file present

Update your game to 1.1 and download no-cd fix!
