I am from the UK and just bought a copy of the marvellous Call of Duty. An odd thing has happened.

After installing the game I went to play online, not realisaing that I had no cd in the drive, and it let me play online without the disc. I had not added any cracks at all. I tried it again incase it was a fluke, but again, it let me.

However, it won't let me play single player without the crack or the disc so has anyone got a single player crack for this??

p.s. has this anomoly happened to others or am I just lucky?

You have lucky. SafeDisc is losely..can start sometimes can stop starting sometime. I think you had Digital signatures left in the memory. But that's a theory... and yeah it's lucky...try to do that again! :D

So you mean that the rest of the world, have SafeDisc 3.10 and blacklist and UK don't have a thing? I realy don't think so.

SoF2 have protection! In what world did you grew up?

But one thing you did have right, Activision are the company that's publish the games.

It still does it yes. Several times I have gone online without the disc.

No idea why though.
is there a crack out for the singleplayer yet anyone?

It's a crack out yes! Try the one that's can be found at GCW.

And another theory is that multi-player isn'r protected. I don't have the game..but that's a theory why don't you use your original CD on your single player?

Since you are using no kind of cracks, the exe is still untouched + original cd-key might be enough for passing the checks. Single player still needs cd, which is normal. I had a similar situation with DF...it was possible to join online games, but not hosting.

A big THANKYOU!

it works great now thanks. I do have one more puzzling thing tho. I backed up my origional cds in order to save my origionals, my brother likes to ruin them. However, I cannot install from them, it won't recognise cd2 for some odd reason. cd1 loads ok but no further. Anyone got any ideas? I tried all I can think of.

If not, then I suppose I'll just have to hide my origionals somewhere secret.

Thanks

You where so closed that I report you. I've read wrong but you shouldn't write other people :p becuase often when people talk but brother sisters pats or something.. they say ether they boaror the CD or they rent the CD from theme or they loan out the CD to theme .

Anyway answer to your question.

It seams to be that the Disc 2 is the one that's protected with SafeDisc 3.10.

Use Alcohol 120% to burn with SafeDisc 2 profile. Need futher help read the stickeys, read the other topic about Call of duty!

Okay to make everything clear. I've checked this thing up.

Multiplayer mode it's not protected with SafeDisc 3.10 it's not protected at all. It's called CoDMP.exe and the Singleplayer is protected with SafeDisc 3.10 and are called CoDSP.exe
but you all might already figure this hole think out...haven't ya?

The First set of Russian Levels are some of the best levels ever put to CD. The rest of the game is just plain average. Definately worth checking out for those Russian Levels though :D
