No matter what I do, I can't make a disc image with Alcohol 120%. I hate playing with the !@#!@!@ CD, and since the game just came out a crack isn't likely for a while. Has anyone had any success with making an image using Alcohol 120%?

Sounds first of all. That you don't have the original CD. Then you must know that the crack isn't there!
Second sounds like *New* SecuROM...so you can't make a perfect 1:1 backup! Please read the backup guides how to deal with *New* SecuROM

Have the original right in front of me :-). nice looking blue, it is.
I just hate using them--I've gotten used to playing w/out the CD.

I've TOTALY change my mind. They have in a strange way, switch protection. First Civ3 have old SafeDisc 2.60 (or 2.51) and Civ 3 - PTW had SecuROM, now they change to SafeDisc 2.90... hmm.... anyway the crack has been sent to GameCopyWorld!
hope that someone can help on that one
every time i run the game with crack before the graphic loads
i get pop up message that say that game will be closed

Application exception occurred:

When: 15/11/2003 @ 20:36:07.180
Exception number: c0000005 (access violation)
"

Is there a NOCD for the 1.02 patch that has been about about 2 weeks now?
You don't need the nocd for 1.02 because the patch does not change Civ3Conquests.exe.
Use the regular 1.0 nocd.
Ahhh.
I ran the update and use the old .exe
In the version information on the start up screen it still says 1.0.

That's right, 1.02 is an language patch for those who don't speak english and whant's to use international version! Wich might replace some .txt files (all the text in the game releated to text files)
