Anyone know there law. And what rules it is...
Is there any international law?
I know the Swedish law is that every use of cracks, or any personal backup of anykind is forbidden.
But I got a question, if a company is from a contry that's okay to do backup, is it illigal in the distrubet contry to do backup and why...
Dose EU has the own laws?
I know Germany has been change there laws but what's dose the new laws says?

It doesn't matter where the software comes from. If its use is forbidden in your country, you are not allow to use it. So it is important where the software is used.
Don't ask about new german law, cos some lawyers say A while others say B is correct. It leaves some space for interpretation, only one thing is for sure:
You are not allowed (in Germany) to use programs that circumvent or crack an EFFECTIVE copy protection, but what means EFFECTIVE in this case?
(One example: You are not allowed to copy a protected Audio CD anymore. If you have a digital out on your pc and record the tracks via this output, then save it or convert to wav, it is not illegal, cos you didn't circumvent the protection, as it was not EFFECTING your digital output, NONSENSE eh ?)
We are allowed to HAVE tools like CloneCD, Alcohol, etc. but we are not allowed to USE it.
I surely could write a whole essay about what might be still legal or what is already illegal, starting a discussion (like the lawyers' one) without a true conclusion.
It is said that german law will be modified again soon. (Stricter!!).
Willing to discuss.....

You are allowed to have Alcohol, CloneCD, etc... BUT NOT ALLOWED TO USE IT? It's nearly the same to have drugs but you are not allowed to use it. :p. So you if you wanna throw many in to the sea, buy burnings tools that's not allowed to use. Oh dear have the hole world got crazy.
We can have Alcohol & CloneCD, because you can also make personal backups from not protected CDs.
If Alcohol & CloneCD only can copy protected CDs and not the not protected (!!!???!!!) then Alcohol & CloneCD is forbidden.
