since i have my matrix in my xbox, ive been very cautious with it
i was wondering if.. using some sort of exploit.. or anything that does not involve anything inside the xbox.. if i could keep my new hdd in and still have the x2 bios whilst my matrix chip is out

Only the gamesave exploit works with the new xbox live 2.0 dashboards.

If you have the older dashboard, or older xbox live dashboard, then you can change your fonts to the bert & ernie. It can then load pheonix bios loader, which loads hacked bios off your drive. After that, it's instant softmod with hacked bios :)
