Well.............. obviously it IS possible to dump a GC disk into an image now since there are isos everywhere and a way to play them on a real GC has been unveiled.
But I cannot find any information on just how this is done, does anyoen have any information, links, pics on how this is done? Last news I heard, but this was MONTHS ago in an irc channel, is that they somehow re-wired the GC to work as a drive on the pc conencted by an external cable. But I find it hard to believe that so many GC ISO groups have been able to rewire the GC like this.
yeah i've been thinking the same thing, just how are these groups making these images exactly?
i've read all the propoganda regarding the data being written back to front or in reverse, or the disc being spun counter-clockwise etc etc. but I can't find any 'tried an tested' info on how to make an image :( .....anyone?!

Its been proven that they do NOT spin backwards.
How to prove it? Simple, press the eject button while a game is loading, notice the direction its spinning in.
I remember seeing pictures of the setup before but that was long ago (and a different pc ago). Plus it looked extremely complicated. I doubt all these groups just suddenly realized how to do it in the same way the first group did.

yeah, hence why i said 'propoganda'... ;)

hmmm yeah there's little chance of them all discovering the exact same method of data extraction, there must be another way... i guess they'll unveil how they did it in their own time :( hope its not too long...
