How exactly can u tell which version Ps2 u have? i just wanted to know how old my ps2 actually is. i hope its not an old one.
what spch code is ur system 30001 10 screw = 1-2 30001 8 screw = 3 35001 = 4 30001R= 5-6 and 390001 = 7 50001 = 9
i belive thats the version listings but i could be wrong
10 Screws on bottom and scph 3000X is version 1 to 3.
8 Screws on bottom and SCPH 30003R is version 4 unless you have the extra countersunk screw on the top edge of your expansion port ( making 3 screws in total on top edge). If you have 3rd screw it's a version 5.
SCPH 3900X is version 6/7.
SCPH 5000X is version 9.
See HERE!!! (http://www.techtrix.co.uk/install_pics/ps2/ps2ver.html) for more info....

thanks guys but i have a problem here. i cant see no screws anywhere! do i have to open that expansion bay thing to see the screws?
Remove the rubber feet on yr ps2 and you'll see Screws. Remove any other plastic squares on the bottom of yr ps2 an you will see other screws.

thanks ottoman, but one last question, once i take off the rubber feet i can put them back on again?
There is no need to take them off. For each rubber pad and square there is a screw. Just count them.;)
Duh.......Do u want me to come round an count them for u?????

How else r u gonna find out
