have just gotten the Plextor 8X dvd burner, works great, would

of been nice if they had added more MB buffer. Wondering if one

of the reasons they took out CloneCD because it was able to

make an image of a gc game. Not sure if was a real image, or fake

but it did something.

Wow this is just barely a GC question.

The answer is "not really" its the fact that it can copy other types of cds is mainly why. There are new laws in Germany and other countries that are putting Elaborit Bytes down.

Luckily you can now get CloneCD from www.slysoft.com

i dont think anyone has successfully done a gc disc

Actually there are people out there that have made images of GC games. But since no one has been able to get past the GC's protection they cant be used.

They are supposedly filled with a lot of garbage data along with the actual game data.
