View Full Version : Ravenshield needs a no cd loader! Condition critical!

this game is considering no-cd cracks to be cheats beacuse they modify the core.dll and rvs.exe files...

The community over at http://forums.ubi.com/messages/overview.asp?name=us_ravenshield_gd

is bugging out! and completely desperate for a no cd crack that can avoid safedisk.

I am aware that we can use daeomon tools and a image of the cd...however none of us are interseted in wasting all that space to play a game.

somoene help!

bleh, patching the cdcheck in memory (especially considering this one has safedisc2 then the cdcheck afterwards) is not exactly an easy task, it would also require the cracker to reveal how he/she bypassed the safedisc code (and somehow i cant see this happening.. its the same reason theres no unpackers for the recent versions of safedisc available to the public), the core.dll itself is the one that contains the cdcheck used ingame (after safedisc has done its business) and if the 'community' in the url you pasted are serious then they could also crc the dll and exe and use other tricks, so you're kind of **** out of luck.. your only alternative.. alcohol 120% or daemon tools.. from what i can understand from the url its basically an anti piracy stance they're taking but they're pretending its anti-cheat...

Well that clears up alot of things...thanks for the knowledgable reply.

It's tobad knowones ever found a way to simulate the presence of a cd, like the cd image approach, without their actually being a heavy weight 696mb image sitting on your hd...sorta like a psuedo-image heh

I don't like making plugs for myself, but here it goes...

Visit http://kickme.to/CirKutz and grab MiR. It will create about a 20MB file from a large image that you can mount in Alcohol 120%/daemon tools. It may or may not work depending on the CD Check.

err people do know how to make a loader for the recent versions of safedisc, it just that information isnt available to the public.
