how can you make a 1:1 copy of a disk protected with safedisk v2.9?
i have problems with the games freedom fighters and medal of honor: breakthrough to recognize my cd drive. i'd like to make images of them on my harddrive. but neither clonecd nor alcohol 120% worked for me...
i tried several settings for clonecd which i got from the profiler, but it always asked for the cd.
it was the same with alcohol, i tried the settings for normal safedisk v2 and then a profile made with alcoholer for safedisk v2.9, but it still wanted to have a disk. what settings do i have to use if i don't want to use a crack?

Although this heavily depends on both your reader AND burner, (you'll need a burner that can write EFM patterns correctly), the software used is as important too.

Safedisk 2.9 is a non-hardware protection (unlike Starforce & Securom 4.8+). In these cases I've had word that nothing beats the Discdump + Fireburner combination. Discdump is free and Fireburner can easily be "registered" :D. Although I doubt you'll need 2 read subchannels, leave the option turned on anyways, just in case...

But on the other hand, the problem may be arising from your CD units. Have U tried to burn a copy to CD-R(W) or did U just attempt to emulate the CD (mount the image on HDD)? If a virtual CD also failed, there might be 2 causes 4 this:
1) The reader didn't measure up to SD2.9
2) Alcohol or whatever CD emulation prog you're using are blacklisted by the game - make sure you have their LATEST versions.

my burner supports EFM to 100%. i will try discdump and fireburner now :)
i only tried to emulate the cds, but i have already got the newest version of alcohol, just downloaded it from their site to be sure :)
thanks, i will report if i succeeded.
