DVD-RW Media Problems - Help Please

I am trying to copy a game to a DVD-RW disc, but when I come to erase the re-writable the software (in this case Nero) gives me an error message saying Illegal Medium please insert a Re-writable disc, I have no idea what is causing this, can anyone help?

Try using Record Now Max to erase your DVDRW. Also make sure your ps2 reads RW's by testing it with a known working DVD video on a DVDRW. If it loads then ps2 games will load too.

Older Ps2 cannot read a dvd rw and the reflectivity is bad and makes the laser work harder so it weares out quicker so dont do it. To erase a disk use easy cd creator or record now max and it should work
