View Full Version : Testing Magic V
Hey guys. I just ordered a Magic V. I will test it out and let you all know how it compares the the Messiah 2 (Although we all know that it could never come anywhere close). I should have the results in about 2 weeks, I will keep you updated.

Actually from the reviews I've read it goes on par with the Messiah2, but I haven't actually tested it myself.
Can't wait to see what your results are.
Gah, it costs too much, I'll stick with my newly modded ps2 with an apple PRO.
Good choice.:D It offers nothing that the Apple Pro already has.
Actually Big Hap, the only thing I could find that the Apple Pro has and the Magic V doesnt is the booting of V7 protected games. And as far as I know, there are no protected games in for the American PS2 as of yet.
By the way Big Hap, do you know if Chip Zone is reliable ?

The Magic V although it might not claim it boots v7 protected games actually does according to a review I read. The US does have v7 protected games such as Splinter Cell and Max Payne. I have heard good things about chipzone.

WOW, I wish I could get that kind of money for an apple pro install. I did 2 apple pro's just last week for 40 bucks each. That’s not even half of what they are charging for 1 install. Ha-ha over worked and under paid just like always. As for the Magic V compared to the messiah 2 pro.... the magic doesn’t work on v1-v4 machines many not be an issue to some but from an installers point of view it is. As for me I'm pretty happy about the new apple pro ... only $20 and just as good as the messiah 2 pro but nice and cheap.
