Backups boot first time only ...

When I back up a game to DVD-R it works fine the first time I play it - boots first time.
After that my PS2 will not read the disk at all.

I have a Messiah 2 installed on a v4 PS2 and I'm using TDK media.

I can't understand why it will run with no problems the first time only - any ideas ???

Could do with more info about what you mean precisely. Like what are the symptoms when it doesn't boot? What is the exact boot sequence when it doesn't boot?
