Do not PM me and ask me to send you cracks - its SO annoying :D .

Here, I uploaded a Homeworld 2 crack

here is the Temple of Elemental Evil (good game, but the title is SO not right!) crack!

NO NFO files (I do NOT keep them, so do not whine! And I am not kind enough to redownload the original cracked files for any of ya
:rolleyes: ).

Simply, find the darn original .EXE, SAVE them somewhere (in case patches come out), and replace them with a cracked ones.

Homeworld 2 .exe is hidden somewhere deep, not too deep though.

BTW - you got 24 hours to get the files, the FTP admin does NOT like those kind of files there.

Also, make sure you are using the latest version of WinRAR (3.20)

well, whatever we talk about and get many replies saying THANKS MAN, that makes me find even more links, and etc, etc, and here people are simply as*holes, who say E-MAIL ME CRACK and do not even say thank you for it! SOME do, but rarely...

Yeah, that is a bit of a problem. Me, I don't really care about that, I send out 30 cracks, I get 3 replies. Doesn't bother me really, but I can understand it gets on ya nerves :D Please don't get discouraged, some of them probably didn't know they were supposed to thank you. Next time, just add a line like "if you're happy with it, please send me a short thank you, I really appreciate the feedback". Otherwise most will forget about it. So please, pretty please with sugar on top, don't stop because of this :)

updated: Anyone have trouble getting TOEE to run? i replaced the exe, but when i try and execute it, the program appears for a second on the taskbar and disappears..

any ideas?

Are you using any type of "Refresh Lock" or "Refresh Force" program with your videocard?
If so, set 1024x768 and 800x600 to 60Hz and the game will start. You can then go into the game options and set your desired resolution/refresh rate there.

Its not the crack, its your video settings. Just like several games these days, TOEE is sensetive to your refresh rate settings.
In order for the game to run - you must NOT use ANY refresh rate-forcing utilities OTHER THAN DirectX's OVERRIDE feature.

I like this forum. There aren't many rules, its easy to follow, easy to figure which forums should be locked, who should be banned, what stickies to create, and I surely have connections to get latest cracks :rolleyes: .

I was wondering what everyone was talking about when dealing with the refresh force programs. I looked under my GeForce Utils and I unchecked the force refresh rate, even set my resolution to 800 and 60hz but I still black screen and then the game drops back to desktop.

Any ideas?

I get the same thing. I still haven't figured out why the cracked executable is 2MB smaller than the distribution one...

Yow. That's INSANE. I'm assuming a fair amount of that is probably cruft and magic to try to make it hard to trim it; I mean, that's just ridiculous.

hmm i'm having trouble getting ToEE to run.. i've been having trouble even with the demo though.. ok first i copied the crack into the ToEE directory and replaced the original ToEE.exe file.. then when i tried to run it it said it cant find the d3d8.dll file.. so i downloaded that one.. and now when i try to run it it has a box titled "ToEE.exe - entry point not found"... and in the box it says.. "The procedure entry point Ddentry12 could not be located in the dynamic link library DDRAW.dll".. anyone know how to get this thing to run?

I'm sorry to dig up such an old thread as this, but rather than starting a new one, I decided to renew this for a while.

I've been searching for the file (for Temple of Elemental Evil) Machine offered up there in the beginning, but to no avail so far. I've also contacted him, but haven't received an answer yet.

Any chance somebody would have it lying around?

Just excellent... : / - I can bet my life that I run through GCW's search options typing Temple of Elemental Evil to every available slot, finding nothing... oh well.

Well now... that was interesting. I installed the file following all standard procedures and the instructions, but when I try to launch my game, it shows a black screen for a while, after which it returns back to Windows.

...?

Stop using refresh rate fixing programs and use DirectX override feature to fix all your problems!

Hi, glad 2 b onboard...

Anywayz, i already downloaded the 'replacement' .EXE file a while ago. Now i tried it, no dice. I started browsing for any sollutions and found this forum...

I already tried everything with the refreshrate and stuff, but it just doesnt work. My directx is overridden with 60 herz, screen and GFX card config'd to 60 herz, even edited the cfgfile to see if something changed, everything is 60 herz, but i still get a few flashy screenz, and after 2 or 3 secs it just kicks me back to desktop... Could it b i forgot something?

Does it work without any crack and with the original cd ? We have to make sure it's a CRACk problem and not a game problem...

The game runs fine with the original .EXE file... I

When i copy the cracked .EXE over it (backupped the original ofcourse :)), it flashes for a few times, and after 2 secs my desktop is back on :(

Well, forget about the refresh override and whatever. If the original works and the crack doesn't, there can be a number of causes. Crack could be made for another language version (even UK/US releases can differ), or for another version (is there a patch out yet ?), or it simply cannot deal with your Windows installation. I can't suggest more than trying different cracks (if they ever get made), or use Alcohol120% (http://www.cdkiller2002.tk/) instead.

Nope still nothing... I tried it all, but cant get any further than the flashy screens. Sigh, back to beeing a discjocky then:/

If someone had the same problem after setting everything to 60 hz and got it solved somehow, i would appreciate it if they could explain to me how they did it...
