I can't find this anywhere, could someone please make a crack for this game?? I've tried everything, and when I dissassemble the file, it comes up in wingdings. I can't read wingdings.

Have you tried the crack by Fairlight here (http://wiretarget.com/games/pc_cold_zero.shtml) ? I know it says German, but sometimes that description is wrong and it may work for English too.

windings? im guessing you're using w32dasm to do the disasembly? if so change the font under the options... no more windings

Yes, I've tried the german crack

It's incompatible with the english crack

cold-zero english release runs perfectly well without ANY cd in the drive. you dont need a crack to play it without the game cd.

When I try to run my copy, it says "no disc inserted"

Cold Zero is protected with SecuROM.. and SecuROM is not easy to crack if you dont know what you are doing..

If you have the same copy I do then open the disk in explorer. There is a folder with the crack in it.

We're not specifically discussing said program here or where we got it, but yes, he's right, and that worked for me. I'm just blind.

This has been an interesting experience though...... SecuROM is hardcore!

i copied the game using clonecd in win98 and wrote it out to cd using bldinwrite (very old versions of both cause i aint interested in having perfect backups. i just keep the no-cd/fixed exes at times when thats necessary)

i installed the game from the backups and the game has never, ever asked for the cd. just like aquanox 2 - revelation.

im using windows xp - home edition. if that helps and other latest drivers. but they aint relevant i think.

it works for me. maybe im lucky or sommit. sorry to anyone that has the full UK release (sept the 9th, correct me if im wrong) and it doesnt work without the cd.

Rincewind, I'm sorry if i phrased my reply in a poor manner; I don't want to start off on the wrong foot here.

Or are you going to deny that you have a warez copy with the crack included on the cd ? I'm very interested in how you plan to explain your previous post. If you have a warez version, fine. Just don't talk about it here, that's all we ask.

ahhh if i understand correctly some people are using a downloaded version. well i bought mine and then copied it etc. maybe thats why my game doesnt require a cd inserted when playing.

p.s. lionheart doesnt need a cd either.

p.p.s. im interested to know if the game works without cd from a normal install (no fiddling with code or installing cracks etc.) for any1 else.

p.p.p.s 1 other point, dunno if its relevant really, but a normal copy of the game using clone-cd and blindwrite copies the game. if the said game never asks for the disk after you've installed it from the copied version ,then surely its irrelevant what protection was used on the disk as the game never makes use of it.

only thing that would mess up my way of doing things would be a game that includes a protection check within the installer program itself. would mean i would need to copy the disk prefectly to install it. never had to yet tho. so im all smiles.
