Hi was wondering what systems games can be played on a ps2, so far I know NES & SNES, will, just wondering if someone could give me a complete list.
is it possible to get Gameboy games working on the ps2, or even GBA cos that would rock!!
If someone has a link, or know what can and cant be played on a ps2 plz tell me.
p.s im not expecting things like n64, GC, xbox to be playable, tho n64 would rock if they could be played on it!
Look here (http://www.psx-paul.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/console/emulation/emulation.htm)
Basically loads....
1.PSMS - Sega Master System Emulator
2.PGEN - Sega Megadrive and Genesis emulator
3.SNEStation - SNES Emu.
4.DreamspecPS2 - ZX Spectrum Emu
5.Beebem - BBC Micro Emu
6.Dreamc64PS2 - Commodore 64 emu
7.IMBNES - NES emu for PS1 - (works fine with ps2)
8. MAME - Multiple arcade machine emulator
Also stuff like Namco Museum etc is emulator software with binary images of the original roms fitted in the arcade machines working in psx and ps2 emulators to get arcade perfect results.
an there is several more on the way thanx to ps2 linux developement kit. ( think Commodore Amiga emu is in pipeline??!!)
Regards
There is also gameboy an gameboy colour emulators for the ps1 but they were serial transferable only. Don't know if anyone has bothered to turn them into proper bootable cd based emulators yet.
