New to the game

Hello, I just had ordered a Ps2 modded with a messiah 4.0 chip, not sure what ver of it it is tho, i had a few questions, i have a sony DVD writter External DRX-500ULX. Which writes DVD+R & DVD-R, also have a DVD+R in a Dell note book, my main concern is which media to use as well as which is best to write games DVD+r or DVD-R? Sorry for so much, just a bit overwhelmed

Messiah 4? Don't you mean Magic 4? If it is Messiah 4 it must be a clone. Mind you, so is a Magic 4. DVD=R is OK for V5 consoles and above but DVD-R is best as it can be written to at 4x (the best stuff) and it is compatible with everything. DVD+R is not however. It's your choice (Providing you have a V5 or above) but -R is by far the best IMHO.

Messiah 4? Where did you buy from? There is no real Messiah 4 or even a 3. Hopefully the chip you get isn't too s hitty. With a v7 consolde it doesn't really matter wether you use -r or +r. Get some Ritek media regardless. It is the best.

Sorry yes your correct its a magic 4.1, so go with the DVD-r's your saying ? for best performance? As for the ritek goes any specific kind or just ritek DVD-r?

www.rima.com is a good source for Ritek media. They have 1x/2x Ritek called G03 and 4x called G04.
