I need some help in getting information for the simplest way to make back-up copies of my PS2 Games. I have been told many different things and was hoping for a simple solution. I have been told both DVD-R and CD-R work. I have a computer with a DVD player and DVD/CD Burner. I used Roxio copy disc feature and it went through the motions of copying, however, when I put the disc in the PS2 it dispalayed "Please put a PS2 formatted disc in the machine"

I have DVD X Copy. Is this what I need?

Any Help?

Thanks,

DVD X Copy is for dvd movies not games. You do have a mod installed right? Don't use Roxio, it sucks. Use RecordNow Max for dvd games and CloneCD or Alcohol 120% for cd games. I have moved this thread to the PS2 board where it belongs. I suggest you read the backup procedures sticky as well.

I thought this was what you folks are here for. I was asking questions for the topic posted. The stickeys do not expain basic questions. That is why I posted the question. And you are a moderator?

Thanks,

We are here for that.

My man was just in a bad mood and may not have noticed that you had posted this in another forum.

Usually Im the bad cop mod, but a once in a while tantrum should be ignored. BG may have been having a bad day.

Ok....

First.... Yes... We are here to help people. We are NOT here to be a babysitter....

I am unaware of the forum that you originally posted these questions in, however, why would you post them anywhere other than the PS2 section?

Also, the "stickeys" are there for new people to read and learn. 90% of the questions that get asked have been answered. All that is needed is to use the "search" button....

Yes... I was in a bad mood....

Like I said, When you answer the same question OVER & OVER again it gets very old......
Most of the time its because of people being lasy and not wanting to READ. This may not have been the fact in your case. But most of the time it is..... (To give you an idea of what the mods here deal with, read through the posts and see HOW many times people have asked "Which is better, DMS3 or Messiah 2" )

Maybe I was being to hard on you, maybe I wasn't...

If you feel that you have been mistreated by me, email EMPIRE and asked that I be removed.

I HAVE helped at least a couple of people here :D and am willing to help anyone as long as they put forth the effort.

I do agree with you BG. A lot of people are lazy and don't want to read any of the Stickies. I feel they are rather straight forward. The stickies weren't even there or weren't in as much detail when I joined this forum. But I read, seached, and when I got TRULY stuck I posted a question. You can learn a lot from others mistakes. In fact I had a problem recently of not getting some games to boot on my apple using ritek media, burning with record now. Talking with Bighap we were both stumped. Come to find out all I needed to do was burn at 1X instead of 2X. You have helped me greatly in this forum and I'm sure many others will agree.
