can anyone tell me what i do with bob files eg "filename.bob"
to enable me to download the main file

Uhuh. That seems to be like some p2p variant. Tell me, exactly what are you trying to download ? Did you notice the sticky at the top of the board with "no warez" ?

its a type of compressed file like .torrent
